Vibration Specialist--Category
III
Qualifications:
- One year experience as a vibration data collector/ analyst.
- Three years experience as a mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation technician
in a process plant (chemicals, refinery, paper mill, power plant, food, etc.)
- The ability to be certified as a Category III specialist by the Vibration Institute
or others such as VCI or one of the manufacturers such as CSI, Entek, SKF,
etc.
- Proficient with PC's and report preparation.
- Capable of effective communications with customers representatives
.
- Must have completed, or willing to take, a course in basic vibration analysis.
- Free to travel overnight 20-30% of the time.
Vibration Specialist--Category
IV
Qualifications:
- Three years experience as a vibration specialist.
- A total of five years work experience in a process plant (chemical plants,
refineries, paper mills, power plants, or food processing, etc).
- The ability to be certified as a Category IV specialist by the Vibration Institute
or others such as VCI or one of the manufacturers such as CSI, Entek, SKF,
etc.
- Proficient with PC's and report preparation.
- Capable of effective communications with customers representatives.
- Must have completed, or willing to take, an advanced course in vibration
analysis.
- Free to travel overnight 20-30% of the time.
Vibration Engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering curriculum.
- Course work in vibration or engineering mechanics and/or instrumentation
is desired.
- One year engineering, maintenance, or operations experience in a process
plant (chemical, refinery, paper mills, power plant, food processing, etc)
.
- Proficient with PCs and report preparation.
- Capable of effective communications with customers representatives.
- Free to travel overnight 20-30% of the time.
- Completed, or willing to attend, basic and advanced vibration training at
the Vibration Institute or VCI or an equipment manufacturer such as CSI, Entek,
SKF, etc. and achieve a Category IV certification within 6 months.
